Contingent Searches

In a contingency search, the client has the advantage of not paying a fee until the position is filled. Taylor Search will provide candidates and continue to refer additional candidates until the position is filled or closed.


Retained Searches

Our retained search is defined as an exclusive project undertaken on behalf of a client to identify and screen suitable candidates for a particular position. An estimated fee is prepaid in three 30-day installments.

Gene received a BS and Masters of Economics degree from NC State University. After graduation, he joined Union Carbide Corporation in Charlotte, NC as a production supervisor, and worked there for two years. Gene spent the next five years in Rochester, NY working for Xerox Corporation in their long-range planning department. During the next fifteen years Gene returned to North Carolina to build a very successful women’s accessories company, manufacturing and importing products for major retail stores in the USA.

In 1995, Gene joined MR New Bern as an Accountant Executive working in the food industry. In 1998, Gene purchased a MRI Franchise and opened an office in Winterville, NC. After terminating his relations with MRI, Gene started Taylor Search in Winterville, NC. Gene continues to recruit in the food industry.

Ten years in nursing and fifteen years in the business arena was great preparation for my career in medical recruitment. My nursing experience dealt with a diverse population of patients in Surgical and Cardiac ICU. I served as a staff nurse and nurse manager. Holding a position as nurse manager with Tidewater Red Cross Blood Services took me into the mainstream population as a representative bringing a vital service to medicine in general.

I then held the position of VP of Design and Sales of a family-owned Manufacturing & Import company. I worked with vendors and large retail store groups throughout the U.S. Public relations and customer service were encompassed in this role.

 

I believe in people and work diligently with educated and devoted candidates in the medical field. It is my responsibility to help the candidate advance in his/her career specialty and provide the client with a person who will be an asset to the organization.

Since joining Taylor Search in 1999, I have worked exclusively to recruit Occupational Health and Safety professionals for manufacturing, distribution, pharmaceutical, healthcare, transportation, retail, and other industries throughout the United States.

I have cultivated relationships with both large and small, well respected companies in Occupational Health & Safety. My clients are searching for the best of the best, whether it is Staff level, Director level, or physicians for occupational/employee health. They want talented and experienced candidates that will make the health and safety of employees the number one priority. This is achieved through health and wellness programs, medical surveillance, workers compensation, OSHA, NIOSH, FMLA issues, and a broad knowledge of clinical and management skills.

The candidates I represent are certified COHN, COHN-S, or COHN-S/CM active with AAOHN nationally and through local chapters. Physicians are BE/BC ACOEM. I search for impact players; the ones who do their job and then some. They bring more than skill, they bring energy and passion, and their effort doesn’t end just because the day has. They are the kind of people who become the heart of the business.

Prior to moving to North Carolina and joining Taylor Search, I worked in telecommunications and IT in Vermont. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland.
